Massive congratulations to our Youth development officer Linzi Davies who has been shortlisted for The Rose Paterson Community Sportswoman of the Year Award.

This is to recognise women who have made a difference to Grassroots Community Sport.

She will find out at The Grand Womens Summit at Ladies Day at Aintree if she been successful.

Evie, daughter of the late Rose Paterson, Alice Fox-Pitt and Mike Hughes, Radio Merseyside are the deciding panel and the decision will be made following interview on air for each of the nominees on the Radio Tues / Wed/ Thursday (You can tune in and hear Linzi on Thursday 😬)

Regardless of the result, what an honour to even be shortlisted. I am sure you will all agree that Linzi has made a difference for hundreds of kids across the local community here at Widnes FC, her coaching with LFC foundation and her position as LCFA’s women and girls lead.
